Asha for Education is a worldwide charity focused on improving education of underprivileged children in India. We believe that the most effective means of social and economic development is through the education of children.
The London Chapter of Asha for Education (charity registration number: 1088168) was founded in 2000 and has been working with four project partners in India to improve education of underprivileged children by offering children a safe environment for acquiring basic literacy and vocational skills and by encouraging sustainable performance and alternative teaching methods

Akshaya Patra is partnering with Asha for Education and Microsoft to run a hack day to create technology solutions.
Come join us on November 3rd and help us end malnutrition in India’s children so they can build a better future for themselves and the world!
We are beginning the new year with a Hackathon on February 3rd at the Microsoft Accelerator in London, to devise innovative and creative solutions to help improve job matching in rural India. The winning team will have the opportunity to get their idea trialled in the field.

Our volunteers Vidhya Sridhar, Srividya Padmanabhan and their friend Pradeep Mishra are going to walk 100 kms from London to Brighton on the 28th/29th May in support for Asha for education. Support their effort and donate to them here
Our volunteer Arijit Goveas rode 57 miles as part of the “RIDE IT – WIndsor Sportive” and raised close to £360 for Asha for education!
